We had about twenty of these dark, dated recessed baffle trims throughout almost every room in our house.
I’m on a constant mission to lighten, brighten, and neutralize our home so I really wanted to replace all of these.
At a price of $7.50 each, it would have cost us $150 to replace all of them.
I HATE spending money on things that aren’t “fun” projects so we came up with this brilliant idea to spray paint them.
Here are the Basic, Step-by-Step Instructions:
- Remove the light bulb and trim from your ceiling
- Set up a plastic drop cloth outside or in your garage
- Place the trim on the drop cloth and spray the paint evenly to cover
- Let dry thirty minutes and repeat as needed
I was skeptical at first.
If it didn’t come out looking as good as new, I would have still bought brand new ones.
I am a stickler for high-quality things in our home.
We took the risk, it paid off, and the process was easy!
